UKRI-NIHR housing and social care workshop report now live
The UKRI (EPSRC, AHRC and ESRC) and NIHR hosted an online workshop on 18 May 2021 on housing and social care to encourage interaction between a wide range of stakeholders and partners to discuss multidisciplinary and collaborative approaches to housing and social care research and practice.
The workshop was structured around the following themes:
- maintaining independence at home;
- maintaining health within the home;
- enabling care readiness through innovative design of new buildings of technologies; and
- enabling informed decisions on housing and care choices through the design of new tools and collection of data.
The workshop report, which can now be accessed through the EPSRC UKRI website, summarises the outcome of discussions, highlighting: research and innovation evidence gaps, research opportunities and challenges, and short and medium-term next steps for funders to take.
