The primary aim of this research was to assess the effectiveness of the Who’s Challenging Who staff training course to increase the empathy towards people with challenging behaviours of social care staff working in residential settings for people with a learning disability, compared with a waiting list control group, using a cluster randomised controlled (RCT) design.
